2021 model year was quite a success for the XC90. The cars have gotten the updated mild-hybrid system and the plug-in hybrid cars have been selling like hot cakes. But how is it that this SUV, designed more than 6 years ago, has been such a success? I guess it all stems from the stunning timeless design. Hopefully I did it justice.

My relationship with XC90 has started back in 2017 when I first got a 408bhp T8 hybrid Volvo giant in my hands in an attempt to recreate amazing photos of Patrik Johall. And although I have failed in my attempt at photo recreation, the real beauty of Volvo’s biggest SUV just started to open up to me.
In the past few years, I have driven 5 different XC90s with a variety of engines and specs. Every test car I got, I learned a new trick up its sleeve, every new angle, and under a new light. In this selection, I have depicted the best photos of the recent model years of the XC90 that I have taken.
